Everyone keeps a little wildness close, and here it sits right in her lap, teeth bared. Inner Animal pairs a calm, one-eyed woman in a golden autumn forest with a snarling black cat, while a small bird perches at her shoulder as if nothing is wrong.

Calm on the outside and fierce within: that is the joke, and the truth, of it. Warm marigold, plum and midnight blue make it glow in a bedroom, studio, hallway or reading corner, and it is sure to start a conversation.

Reproduced from an original soft pastel painting by Larisa Volkavichyute, this piece is made for those who love cats, strong and slightly fierce women, and art with a little mischief.
