Baba Yaga's house rises from the depths of Eastern European folklore, ringed by a fence of bones. It is both sanctuary and peril, a place where truth must be earned through courage, wit, and endurance. The bones of those who faltered stand as a warning against avoiding life's trials. They are also a symbol of inherited wisdom and the inevitability of mortality.
The dark forest around the house is the subconscious, where fears and dreams intertwine. Baba Yaga herself holds both chaos and guidance, life and death. Our ancestors told her story to face their fears and make sense of uncertainty. In our own modern dark forest of burnout and endless connection, her tale still urges us to embrace complexity and honor our resilience.
Will you step into your own dark forest and ask: What am I afraid to face? What light am I searching for?
