A cat holds a chicken close, and the hug is just a little too tight. Echoes of Innocence is a sweet and slightly unsettling scene where cuteness and discomfort share the same frame.

At first glance it’s pure charm: two pairs of eyes meeting, a soft embrace, a moment of curiosity. Look a little longer and kindness mixes with suspicion, and innocence dances with mischief. Display it in a kitchen, a studio or on a gallery wall, and wait for the questions.

Reproduced from an original soft pastel drawing by Larisa Volkavichyute, this piece is made for those who love animals, dark-edged humour and art that starts conversations.
